Coronavirus is almost immediately nonviable if deposited on a cash banknote.

Washington: In the last two years, the corona virus has caused such wounds to the world, which are impossible to heal at the moment. This virus has created such an atmosphere of fear all over the world that many people in daily use are afraid to touch all the things they come in contact with. One such thing is currency notes, which are needed by almost every one of us on a daily basis. The question must have come in the mind of many of us that can corona spread through currency notes also? A recent study has given the answer to this question.

Corona on currency notes is incapacitated almost immediately

A research published in a magazine named Plus One states that the corona virus becomes incapacitated almost immediately on currency notes . It has been said in this research that it is not right to recommend the use of credit or debit cards in lieu of cash as a measure of prevention of Kovid. Researchers found that the virus lasts longer on 'plastic money' cards and can persist up to 48 hours later. Researchers said that no virus was detected on the note included as a sample in the study.

'We tested 4 times to detect the virus'

Richard Robison, a professor and research writer at Brigham Young University (BYU) in the US, said that at the beginning of the epidemic there was a lot of emphasis not to use cash and many people He accepted this. Robison said, 'I thought that there is no data about this, then how can people say this thing with such a claim? We then decided to check whether it was logical, and it was not logical. Researchers took samples of notes as well as coins and cards and tested them 4 times to detect the virus.

'We did not find any virus alive on the notes'

Researchers tested the virus at intervals of 30 minutes, 4 hours, 24 hours and 48 hours. They found that it was difficult to detect the corona virus after 30 minutes on the dollar (note). The study found that after 30 minutes the virus was reduced by 99.9993 percent. Researchers tested again after 24 and 48 hours and found no live virus on the notes. In contrast, after 30 minutes on the card the virus was reduced by only 90 percent. It decreased with time, but even after 48 hours, live viruses were found on the card.
