A rollercoaster ride turned into a scary nightmare for riders after the the coaster halted mid-ride upside down for over 45 minutes due to a 'technical malfunction' with people still on board.

Interestingly, this incident took place in the UK as well as the US, and visuals of both places were similar. The people were seen screaming for help and however, the ones in the US could not be rescued immediately, the UK ride interestingly had them walk back down to the ground.

According to Daily Star, one incident took place at Big One ride in Blackpool Pleasure Beach, UK on Sunday afternoon when the carriage of the coaster stopped at the height of 235-feet.

While the other case was reported from Carowinds amusement park in North Carolina, US. Brandon Allen, who was on his first visit to a theme park when the incident happened, told Fox59 - “My very first experience at a theme park on a rollercoaster, and I got stuck.” He added that it was so terrifying for him that he started crying and stated “I personally watched my tears fall from the sky.”

Allen described the incident and said that they got to the very top when a countdown started and all of a sudden, there was an announcement, “We’re sorry, we’re having some technical difficulties." Everyone thought it was a joke and took it as a surprise element.
