DAY 3 of NAVARATRI 2021:- Chandraghanta Devi is the third aspect of the Hindu goddess Durga and is the third Navadurga . Chandraghanta means one who has half-moon shaped like a bell. She is also known as Chandrakhanda , Chandika or Rannchandi . According to Shiva Maha Purana Chandraghanta is the SHAKTI of Lord Shiva in the form of Chandrashekhara . Each aspect of Shiva is accompanied by Shakti and hence they are known as Ardhanarishvara (depicted as half-male and half-female i.e., composite form of Shiva and Parvati ). Parvati in the form of goddess Chandraghanta has ten hands where two hands hold a Trishul (Trident), Gada (Mace), Bow-Arrow , Khadak (Sword), Kamala (Lotus flower), Ghanta (Bell), and Kamandal (Warterpot) while one of her hands remain in blessing posture or abhayamudra .
